Bengtsfors Municipality – A Place to Thrive and Grow!
In the heart of Dalsland, surrounded by lakes and beautiful nature, lies Bengtsfors Municipality. Here, quality of life is combined with development opportunities in a safe and welcoming environment. Bengtsfors is perhaps best known for its scenic surroundings and its (399) lakes that cover about 17 percent of the area, as well as the Dalsland Canal that runs through several towns in the municipality. The municipality has five urban areas, of which Bengtsfors is the central town. The other towns are Dals Långed, Billingsfors, Bäckefors, and Skåpafors.
Bengtsfors Municipality is the largest employer in the municipality, and together we work to create a sustainable and attractive community for our employees, residents, and business owners. We value joy in work and strive to create an attractive work environment with high satisfaction and engagement - furthermore, in one of Sweden's most picturesque locations.
Welcome to Bengtsfors Municipality! The Community Planning Unit primarily serves the public in various matters such as building permit applications and exemptions from shore protection. We also work with detailed plans, comprehensive plans, property issues, and maps. We are five employees located at the municipal office in Bengtsfors. Here, the team consists of a planning and building permit manager, planning officer, land/exploitation engineer, building permit officer, and building permit engineer. We are now looking for an administrator who wants to help drive the development of Bengtsfors Municipality forward!
Job Responsibilities
As an administrator, you will manage the administrative process surrounding building permits, detailed plans, and supervision, often focusing on ensuring that the building permit process is efficient and complies with the Planning and Building Act (PBL), which includes document management, communication with applicants, and follow-up on cases, all to support the case officers and the Authority Board. The role requires good knowledge of legislation such as PBL and the Administrative Procedure Act and may involve being responsible for cases, reports, and IT systems. The position entails some case officer responsibility.
Qualifications
We place great importance on personal qualities; you must be service-oriented, attentive, meticulous, and responsible. Since the work involves many personal contacts, it is important that you have a good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing. The job requires that you have the will and ability to take initiative and work independently. You must also enjoy working in a team and collectively achieving good solutions.
